Experience built with communities.

Since 2019, SALAM has supported more than 250 engagements involving safety education, preparedness and community support.

Where our work applies

Places of worship

Leadership and volunteer readiness

Practical awareness, security procedures, emergency planning and controlled exercises.

Schools

Prepared staff and coordinated response

Training and plans shaped around educational operations and safeguarding.

Community organizations

Shared roles and usable procedures

Support for charities, community centres and other organizations with public-facing activities.

Respecting each client’s confidentiality

Client identities, incident details, photographs and testimonials are published only with appropriate consent. We do not publish sensitive assessment findings or site vulnerabilities.

After a session, clients may provide feedback or issue a letter confirming the work completed. Any letter remains subject to the client’s review and approval.

Safety across communities

SALAM’s published history describes work in Canada and the United States, including the Greater Toronto Area and the Twin Cities. Materials have included region-specific community and family guidance.

Our approach is cross-community: preparedness is useful in mosques, schools, churches, temples and charities. The same foundations—clear reporting, accessible exits, agreed responsibilities and rehearsal—are adapted to the site.

Training supports readiness; it does not guarantee that every incident will be prevented.
